Yesterday, the results of the Allied Health and Community Service Stream Employees Enterprise Bargaining agreement were announced.

The results of the vote are as follows:

Allied Health and Community Service Stream Employees

70% of eligible Allied Health and Community Service Stream employees voted

76% voted NOT TO APPROVE the proposed agreement

24% voted to approve the proposed agreement

Blue Care management stated the "They were disappointed"  and that "We understand that this result will be disappointing to many people"

This shows that even with 76% of you voting the proposed agreement down they are still not listening to what you are saying.  The proposed agreement is not good enough and Blue Care can do better.

This is why you need to tell us why you voted this offer down via health@together.org.au so that we can pass this on to management, your identities will not be used.

You and other union members need to keep the pressure on Blue Care and continue to take collective Protected Industrial Action to fight for a better offer that the one that Blue Care thought was okay to place on the table.

To keep this pressure up, Blue Care were advised last Tuesday, that from today Wednesday 5 October you would be taking the following new Protected Industrial Action:

A refusal to accept new clients for successive periods of up to 7 days.
The periods of up to 7 business/work days, and can be done more than once, but not in an ongoing manner.

Pass this communication on to others in your workplace and if they have not joined you as a union member they can join here www.together.org.au/join
