SNP Management Offer Real Terms Pay Cut

Written by Alex Griffin | Mar 15, 2022 11:09:18 PM

Last week SNP management representatives provided bargaining reps and negotiators with their proposal to offer workers a one-off 1.5% wage increase.

SNP's proposal states that despite recording billions of dollars in profits over the pandemic, they intend to only offer staff a single 1.5% pay increase. This is well below CPI, and workers know that the cost of living will only continue to go up. When your employer offers an increase below the cost of living, that means you are going backwards.

Health workers like you have worked throughout the pandemic and played a central role in keeping people safe. As a result of your continued hard work your employer's share price has continued to rise and they have recorded billions in profits. Workers deserve more, but will need to be united, active and strong in order to change this offer.

Negotiations are taking place this Thursday, and the topic will be discussed in detail. We will continue to report back to members what happens and what you can do to make a difference.
